Even though Native American boarding schools have been closed for decades, the wounds from this era are still fresh. Homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, and mental health issues are just some of the issues plaguing Native communities in the United States. In Seattle, an organization called the Chief Seattle Club (CSC) helps people deal with intergenerational trauma by offering art programs and other resources to help aid the healing process.
