Army begins unearthing remains of children who died at Carlisle Indian School

Several Northern Arapaho elders embarked on a journey to the Carlisle Indian School in Carlisle, PA to have the bodies of three Northern Arapaho children exhumed and returned to the tribe for burial on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The Rosebud Sioux from South Dakota, and several native families from Alaska also want the bodies of their children who died while attending Carlisle to be returned.
